Once again, there will be a lot of great ATP Tour players who stand out in this edition, among them there’s the Mexican’s favorite: Grigor Dimitrov (No. 21). The 30-year-old Bulgarian holds 8 ATP tournaments, including the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and the ATP Finals (2017). Dimitrov returns for the second time to Los Cabos looking to raise the beautiful trophy “huichol”. Another great player who returns to the Tournament is the 25-year-old Englishman Cameron Norrie (No. 34), who is currently living his best season by reaching the Estoril Finals, Lyon and the legendary Queen’s tournament.

The Americans John Isner (No. 33), Taylor Fritz (No. 36), Sebastian Korda, (No. 50), Sam Querrey (60), Steve Johnson (73), Denis Kudla (114) and Mackenzie McDonald (108) confirms America’s interest in the Abierto de Tenis Mifel and in competing in this important destination. The confrontation between compatriots is welcomed, and will bring out the player’s qualities: Isner’s serve, Fritz’s versatility, and Korda’s speed, son of former Czech tennis player, Petr Korda.

In addition to these great players, the tournament will also have the presence of the Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (No. 42), the Argentinian Guido Pella (No. 59) and the South African Kevin Anderson (No. 103), whose powerful serve and back strokes will be appreciated by all the fans.

Other players, who will bring a great tennis level to the tournament, are Egor Gerasimov (BLR), Jordan Thompson (AUS), Ricardas Berankis (LTU), IIya Ivashka (BLR), James Duckworth (AUS), Andreas Seppi (ITA) and Daniel Elahi Galán (COL); this would close the participation within the World’s Top 114.

Due to the pandemic and by the local authorities’ orders, the tournament will not be open to the fans, only allowing a very limited number of staff and sponsor’s guests (who must show a negative antigen test). The Abierto de Tenis Mifel, through its safety program, ATC Safety will be responsible for planning and operating all safety measures and protocols in order to ensure and safeguard the health of the staff, players, and guests within the tournament.
