Kids add color to the Los Cabos Open at Kids Nite
- Six professional players, including Mexicans Santiago Gonzalez and Rodrigo Pacheco, participated in the activity.
Los Cabos, July 12, 2025.- The activities in the ninth edition of the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo, whose tournament will be played from July 14 to 19 at the Cabo Sports Complex, began this Saturday with the qualifying tournament, on par with the Mextenis Experiences 2025.
These activities are for the whole family and include Kids Nite, Mextenis Talks, Players Party, Family Day, Tennis Golf and Closing Party.
The Kids Nite kicked off with the Kids Nite, which brought neon colors to the night at the stadium and the protagonists were the children who learned and competed alongside professional tennis players.
Formed in two teams with the bright pink and yellow colors, some 50 children, chosen from among the attendees, performed different skill exercises alongside players such as Mexican Santiago Gonzalez and youth Rodrigo Pacheco, as well as Adam Walton, Austin Krajicek, Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow.
Hitting the target with huge neon rackets in 10-second rounds, running alternately on both sides of the court to pass the ball to the other side of the net and playing mini tennis in pairs until eliminated, were part of the exercises.
The activities were enjoyed by children and adults, who occupied the lower part of the stands where they received gifts from the sponsors.
The Kids Nite, as well as the Mextenis Talks on Sunday, are activities that take place during the first weekend of the tournament along with the two days of qualy, where children under 12 years old have free admission.
The Kids Nite is a fundamental part of the community program promoted by the tournament, which seeks to develop children’s interest in sports and physical activity through entertainment.
