- Eight professional players, including Britain’s Cameron Norrie, the 2021 champion, and Mexicans Santiago González and Rodrigo Pacheco, took part in the event with dozens of children
Los Cabos, July 25, 2026—About a hundred children and eight professional tennis players, including Cameron Norrie, Corentin Moutet, Santiago González, Rodrigo Pacheco, and Rinky Hijikata, lit up the court at Alejandro Burillo Stadium with neon colors this Saturday.
As night fell, to kick off the tenth edition of the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo, “Kids Nite” took place—an event designed to introduce children and families to tennis and physical activity.
Divided into three groups and led by the players, boys and girls competed through sports-based learning in one of the most anticipated Mextenis Experiences of 2026.
Lizzy Rocks, a nationally recognized EXA host and a well-known figure in Los Cabos, led the activities and entertained the crowd in the lower stands of the Cabo Sports Complex’s main stadium.
Mextenis invited families from different communities in Los Cabos and offered free admission so that more people could experience the tournament. This is one of the ATP 250’s now-traditional initiatives designed to give children their first taste of tennis and let them experience what it’s like to be on a professional court alongside the world’s best players.
The event’s main sponsor was Churritz, a snack brand from Baja California, which divided the children into two teams: Fuego and Chile Limón. They had fun playing games like “Around the World” and “Raquetazos,” and also competed in a rally against the pros.
After the physical activity—filled with laughter and wonder—it was time for the Disney Cruise Silent Party. The cruise line handed out headphones so families and the community could celebrate their arrival at the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo. This innovative experience delighted all attendees, who enjoyed listening to music through their headphones and dancing at the silent party.
